February 2, 2015 – Mark Driscoll

There are so many times that I write a complete rant on facebook only to highlight and delete the entire thing before clicking Post. When I post a message that is an original thought, I really try my best to make sure that it is well thought out and accurately portrays my feelings on a subject. It’s been a long time since I’ve posted a “tonight’s update,” or anything serious for that matter. I’ve written a LOT that I then deleted, because it simply wasn’t the statement that I intended to make. I wish more people would think before they speak, as the words and actions of one can have a deep impact on another. And quite often, when someone thinks they know what they are talking about, they simply do not. For those of you that want to know what my deleted nightly updates were about: I’m still depressed and often feeling pretty down about life. I have had some pretty incredible times in my life over the past few months, including training opportunities and lots of fun extra curricular activities. The weight of depression never seems to leave, but at least I haven’t wanted to kill myself since my medications were adjusted last year.
